KLVS Citrus Heights is on the air at 99.5

Interesting how the call-letters KARA and KLRS were in the South SF Bay Area
for a long time at 105.7 and 99.1, respectively (though KLRS was in Chico for
many years afterward, only to be abandoned when that Chico station became
"BOB-FM")...

What do you know about the new antenna south of Lodi, and south of Armstrong Road and North of Morada Lane and right next to the freeway on the east side with two FM antennas on it?

I couldn't find a tower site close to the vicinity you mention, RSO, except
that three-unpainted-tower array that is 1570 KCVR-HD, which is farther
east than where you mentioned, and had no FM bays on any of the
towers last I saw a year ago:

I used this as a reference to check tower-site location, which includes
radio properties that are new and under-construction (I typed in the
keywords "Stockton" and "CA" on the dialscape part of recnet.com's
broadcast query, and received all this):

The tower is there and was just installed in the last three weeks and is a stones throw away from the frontage road, right next to the freeway. Its south of Armstrong Road and just north of Morada Lane. You can't miss it.

So KWIN has a SECOND or new tower-site now? Wow...

KWIN's main tower was behind the Pollardville site, south of Eight Mile Road,
and a stone's throw east of Hwy 99, where it's been for years...

When retired KWIN salesman Keith Farr and I traversed there some time ago,
houses were built nearby, and we heard Pollardville Chicken was being closed,
probably to build more homes there...

I guess it's too new to have appeared on my search at recnet.com...

So, it's up on the hill with KNCI, KZZO, KWOD, et al? Even at 5100 watts should be a decent signal. Building penetration may be tough, especially downtown.

I noticed it's already got 3 translators assigned to it, according to Radio Locator. EMF just makes me cringe with stuff like this.

Since EMF is based in Sacramento, will this be the flagship for the K-Love format? If so, there is probably no chance they will ever sell it, they'll just put a new translator on every other channel and use this as the primary.

The three translators were assigned when KLVS was located in Grass Valley. They have dozens and dozens of translators all over the country.

KLVS is a satellite of KLVR Santa Rosa and has a main studio waiver. It is strange that since their broadcast facility and main office is in Rocklin they would still have a waiver for this.

They do have a CP for KLRS 89.7 Class B in Walnut Grove.

As far as it not being for sale, I wouldn't assume that! Since they have translators here and KLRS, they *could* sell KLVS to a commercial broadcaster and make a ton of money to build many many more non-com FMs and translators. That one commercial frequency could be sold for tens of millions of dollars which will help the expand their ever growing empire.

In reality, I'm guessing they will use KLRS for Air1. If it is used for K-Love, then my bet is that KLVS will be sold.

Noticed this weekend as well today 99.5 is off the air ???

They are off the air temporarily until interference issues with a control tower at Mather Airport are dealt with, This is according to a receptionist at K-LOVE I spoke with last night.
