It was in All Access today that 105.3 KLVT which has a permit or app (?) to move somewhat into the Lubbock market has been sold to Amerimedia (I think that's what it said!) Does anyone know anything about Amerimedia and what their plans may be for KLVT?

What other stations do they own?

My understanding was that KLVT and KRBL were sister stations, KRBL being owned by a gentleman in Rhode Island, and if you look at KLVT in the (word we can't say), under owner I think it says "Paul Bean." Paul runs both stations, or did. They both take ABC's Classic Country networks, but different feeds.

At least that's my understanding. I'm curious to see what changes take place. (If any).

It would be nice if Lubbock would finally get a alternative station.

We have one (sorta), 88.1 KTXT, one of the strongest signaled College Alternative stations in the United States, at 50Kw.

Other than that, I think KFMX fills the niche. But I know what you mean, it would be nice if we had a commerically licensed Alternative Rocker. KFMX mixes in too much other stuff I can't stand.

Careful, David Eduardo will come in here and bend our ears about how well spanish stations do in Lubbock, and how much money they make, and the next thing yoiu know, there'll be another station that I won't be able to listen to.
:'(
