I know I'm taking somewhat of a big risk asking this type of question and throwing out bait for certain types of responses, but hopefully I will generate at least some serious response to my following question, which is about
K M V A ... . . WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE CURRENT MOViN 97.5?
I would give my opinions, but I'm sort of not in the mind frame to do so right now. However, I will say that it really doesn't make sense that they are not playing Rob Thomas (as far as I know). I am glad though that they did add Len's "steal my sunshine" (as I suspected they should a few months back) and I aslo heard "Breakfast at Tiffany's" by Deep Blue Something. With this being the case, I'm beginning to wonder if it's only appropriate that they also add Gin Blossoms "Hey Jealousy" as well. Anyway, to wrap up my opinions in a quick nutshell, I'll just say Movin 97.5 just sounds rather strange to me right now, and Jay Sean's "Do you remember" is played way too much. I'm still not exactly sure which direction they REALLY want to go, or are headed in, based on the type of song arrangement they currently hold. At least Mix 96.9 maintains a format that sounds "fixed & normal", despite the fact that most of their material leans alternative & pop/rock back to back with a few other stuff sprinkled in from time to time. Unlike Movin, both KMXP and KZZP sound organized. The same with KPKX.
I think Movin can sound better than they do since they do have the potential. They just need to get things "organized" musically. There's just something a bit off with their whole flow of music... but anyway, forget about what I said. What are YOUR opinions?
