KMAX to lose their CW affiliation

Like in the Bay Area boards there has been talks to make KBCW, KBHK-TV. However that does not work anymore given that for stations like KMAX and KBCW they would have to be renamed after the primary CBS O&O in the area and a plus in the branding.

It's like asking KMAX to get the KRBK-TV letters back not going to happen now that Nexstar owns the KRBK-TV call letters in Missouri for a Springfield, MO Fox affiliate.

The difference is that KBHK is an available call sign. (And KMAX is superior than KRBK in terms of building a station identity.)

So far KMAX is the first among soon to be former CW affiliates owned by Paramount to get a new Logo. Yes this is how Paramount did for KPIX, WCCO, WBZ, WJZ and KCAL for the primary CBS affiliates.
