KMCQ 104.5 FM-One hour loop of music-Why?

Tonight I've been hearing a 60 minute loop of 60s-80s music on KMCQ. Why is that? Is nobody at KMCQ at this time, or is it that KMCQ is closing down?

Who knows? Earlier this week my radio stopped on it only to find it playing dead air.

This morning I did notice all the 80s though. "Love Shack" - that's almost 1990!
 
The ipod must've got stuck. Hey, pretty soon music from the 00's will be "oldies". I wonder if that upcoming Tacoma Dome appearance by Britney will be moved over to the Emerald Queen? ::)
 
The amount of attention this "placeholder format" is getting is truly amazing - and at the same time, pathetically sad. There's stations that would kill for this much interest in their format.

Maybe First Broadcasting is on to something here - just run a loop of the same music over and over and watch the TSL grow!
