KMCQ is on in Covington, Wa

From what I hear, KMCQ, The Dalles has been going off the air around 10 pm the past few nights to accommodate KMCQ #2 at Covington, Wa in their quest for transmitter testing that's going on as I post this. I caught tonight's test beginning shortly after 8pm this round....sounds good so far. The big news though: KMCQ #2 is broadcasting audio programming that was produced by none other than KMIH, the very station that's fit to be taken over by KMCQ when they finalize these tests and start broadcasting for real. That's a great tribute to the folks at KMIH and it will be interesting what they do next.

KMCQ and First Broadcasting partners files for a "Minor Change Amendment" that effectively covers the entire Seattle area metroplex and Mid-Columbia is going to be a lot richer than before. KAFE Bellingham moves to 104.1 fm from 104.3 and goes directional in the scheme.

The Dalles will get to hear robot radio on 104.5 fm just a little longer until the FCC clears everything.

Thanks to FM Steve and friends for this info from the Seattle board.
