I woke early this morning and KMCQ is off the air again. I thought they signed on the air yesterday morning with their new tower on Cougar Mountain. What is going on with this station??!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, who really cares? The station offers NOTHING from a programming standpoint, and as long as they have audio every few days or so... they get to keep their license

In all reality, it’s called TESTING!! It happens with every TX site move. Equipment doesn’t always agree with each other, and I highly doubt they have invested in fails safe systems.

Yes, KMCQ is off the air. 104.3 actually, I couldn't get KMNT yesterday, when the day before it was strongest I've ever heard it.

104.5 when off the air is either KMTT/KCMS bleed/junk, or ABSOLUTELY nothing.

104.7 since Sunday night has been nothing, or 104.9 interference.

I wonder if First Broadcasting shut it off until they sell to new owners and they will put something stupid on there. Most radio stations don't go off the air for 2 days when they are switching to a new tower. I have never heard of any station doing that. KMTT never went off the air when they moved to Tiger Mountain. Neither did KCMS and KRWM when they moved to Cougar Mountain. So something is up with KMCQ.

I care. KMCQ may not be a legit station but they sure play a hell of a lot better mix of 60s and 70s music than the dreadful KJR FM. And, Damian actually plays the requests that get phoned or e-mailed in. KMCQ is what is my radios in the house and car are tuned to most of the time, and AM 1090 for certain shows. Hopfeully KMCQ will be back up soon. Testing, Place holder....who cares? It is great fun to listen to and I am enjoying it while we have it.

I agree, KJR-FM is boring and plays too much classic rock.I hope KMCQ comes back on again.

Well, when it truly officially launches, who will own it and what will they program. Anybody have any ideas? Crazy theories? Educated guesses?

Whatever has been been going on with them must have gotten fixed, as I type this KMCQ is back on the air, FYI Yesterday by the Beatles is currently playing.

They went off the air again this afternoon at 3:45.Who knows what they are up to.

We think that the KMCQ "studio" up at Cougar is simply a laptop and that this was simply a test for the possible buyer(s) to conduct field-strength measurements. That and the propane truck couldn't make the delivery up Radio Hill in Enumclaw. :-\

KMCQ studios are in Enumclaw on Roosevelt Ave in a small office building. Not on Radio Hill or on Cougar Mountain.
