KMCQ Off The Air Today

We got a preview of the dial without KMCQ this afternoon. I don't know how long
there was dead air but I listened for about 15 minutes until it came back in in the
middle of a song at about 5:10 pm.

When they ARE gone for good, how will I go on without my reliable dose of "Up
In A Puff Of Smoke" by Polly Brown every couple of days?

Wow....I can't get KMCQ at all in Bellngham (the spillover from CHHR takes care of that.) but is THIS their playlist? Somebody mentioned "Busted" Ray Charles, and now you mention "Up In A Puff Of Smoke" Polly Brown. Do they also play:

"The Song Is Over" The Who
"Goodbye To You" Scandal
"The End" The Doors
"Fade To Black" Metallica
"Goodbye Stranger" Supertramp
"The Last Farewell" Roger Whittaker
"Funeral For A Friend" Elton John

...etc, etc.

Wow! This is an AWESOME playlist! I'll get right on it!

Oh, Bongwater, you don't know what you're missing. Here are some of the songs I've heard on
KMCQ and yes, I'm with Goldilocks94941, I will seriously miss this station when they are gone:

Old Folks Boogie .... Little Feat
Cry To Me .... Solomon Burke
The Chokin' Kind .... Joe Simon
Mr. Sun, Mr. Moon .... Paul Revere & The Raiders
Lonely Is The Night ... Billy Squier
Never Been Any Reason ... Head East
Cinnamon .... Derek
Nothing But A Heartache ... The Flirtations
Mr. Dieingly Sad ..... The Critters

There is no way it is an iPod on shuffle either. There are definite set patterns that go far beyond
random.

I'm REALLY missing something. But I'm starting to think if KVI really wants to rub shoulders with KJR-FM, they should pick up KMCQ's playlist. I don't see what they'd have to lose really at this point....

I will miss this station, too. There's been some excellent theme sets lately. I've enjoyed listening to Mark and Marina on KVI in the morning, but their music selection can't compare with KMCQ's.
