KMCQ's "Updated" Website and Radio Bumpers

Today I heard a bumper saying to advertisers to contact them through their website. And voila here's some updated content on their website.

http://www.americanpopradio.com/

There's now an "Ask Programming" forum as well which you should check out as there is one thread that pretty much implies there won't be DJs around for a while.

I'm noticing a "Q" in my browser tab on that page. Not that it means anything. Just noticeable.

Now where's the Listen Live link?........KMCQ doesn't come in listenably any farther than Marysville.

Glad to see the updated KMCQ site. Happy to see the info about Ted Alexander's 10,000 Oldies Show. I tune in every Saturday night and have wondered about him and that show. Apparently he is exclusive to KMCQ. I used to stream Dick Bartley on Saturday nights but quit him a while back after he sold out and went into the 80s. Ted Alexander's show is much better anyway, even though he throws in an occasional 80s tune as well.

They announced happy 4th of July as well during a bump.

Definitely a sign they aren't just automated bots. This is great news for the short term.

This evening (Mon July 4 at about 7:45) I heard an actual advertisement - for "Tom Miller Construction" -- There is actually someone selling time

Well, it's probably about time. There's no way they're EVER going to sell that station unless it already has something (like advertisers, ratings, etc.....)

Could be a trade for a studio door

And I have no idea why. Ted, as the bio says, is a long-time broadcaster and engineer right here in Northeast Ohio. The show doesn't air here, as far as I know.

And that part about the voiceovers - they're not kidding. He's probably done about half the "Call 800-555-1234" tags for TV "per inquiry" spots over the years!

Ted is doing engineering work for a couple of local radio stations now. He's also aware of the blog, so maybe I'll ask him about this KMCQ thing.
