KMEG is owned by Pappas

I just noticed on their website that KMEG is now owned by Pappas. I heard the rumor a while ago, but didn't know it was a sure thing. So when did it happen? Does Pappas have any major changes up their sleeves, maybe expanding the news dept, 9 pm newscast on the FOX affiliate KPTH?
 
They are not actually owned by Pappas, but are run by them. FCC reg's prohibit owning more than one of the top four stations in a market.

KMEG 14 News is the new slogan for the CBS Affil. They have a slick looking promo package and looks like a totally new look. Can anyone tell me if they have new news music and how the new news graphics look compared to KTIV and KCAU. If they can make this work...I say GREAT! Also was there a set change? I hate living in Kansas City and not being able to see what is goin on. No weekend news yet. I was home last weekend and saw the Promo stuff...TVbD did that work, as they do all pappas stations
