KMIC sale approved, 1590 now off the air

The FCC approved the KMIC sale from Disney to DAIJ Media on Tuesday 1/13. The station is now off the air, so it would appear the sale has closed, or will do so shortly.

No sign of new sibling KRCM either; it has been off the air for several weeks. Looks like DAIJ has some work to do to get 1380 and 1590 relaunched.

When Salem bought KRDY here in San Antonio it was off the air for a while, too. They took some time to re-launch it with it's Spanish Christian format.
 
Interesting note: 1590 yields XEACH Monterey, Nuevo Leon tonight in Houston. No discernible ID other than several references to Monterey in the 2 hours of in and out reception I've been listening to. Quite the haul for a night time 250 watter from down in Mexico.
