KMJ Calls

(1) Yes. Historical. One of the very first AM stations to be authorized. June - 1925. Was always assigned 580 Khz. -- 2) NO. Calls have no meaning. Calls were assigned by the FCC.
 
KMJ frequencies:

833 (Mar 1922 into 1923-1924)
1210 (1923-1924 into 1927)
1280 (1927)
820 (1927-1928)
1200 (1928-1929)
1210 (1929 until 1931-1933)
580 (1931-1933 to present)

They have always been KMJ.
