KMJ - What Happened To Ron Shapley?

Morning news guy MIA. When was his last day on air? Did he get to say goodbyes to his listeners? Did he step on cash cow Appleton's toes or something? KMJ website has wiped any mention of him.

Lots of changes at Palm and Shaw. Big note coming due in the 90m purchase of these stations. It appears they can't handle the CBS payroll.

Wow! Peak Broadcasting/Boise Dumps Most Of Airstaff

A few months ago, Peak Broadcasting/Boise relaunched KTMY-My Country as KAWO-Wow Country 104.3.
Latest to exit is Brian (The Birdman), who was doing Nights before sliding into the Morning Show Producer slot. It's the 3rd staff cut for the group in the past week, according to a story in Idaho Radio News.

The changes aren't limited to Wow Country. A memo obtained by Idaho Radio news written by Peak/Boise SVP Kevin Godwin says the decision to let go AC KXLT middayer Melissa Dawn and fellow staffer Greg Williamson the day before Thanksgiving was made after "months of thought and consideration." Godwin's note says Dawn and Williamson are "both terrific people and this was a very difficult decision." He also said that if "given the opportunity, would hope to have them back at Peak Broadcasting."
