KMJE Move from Yuba/ Sutter to Sacramento Market

This is crazy:

Look at this FCC Application:

http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/forms/prod/cdbsmenu.hts?context=25&appn=101167725&formid=301&fac_num=52516

This app is to change KMJE Class A 101.5 from Gridley, CA to Woodland and move the transmitter to either on or near the KSFM town north of Davis.

I'll post something else involving a station upgrade in Southern California that involves a major downgrade of KGFM in Bakersfield from a Class B al the way down to an A. (KGFM is owned by a company that Mr. Chris Squiers claims to excellent to work for.)

This is similar to the move of 103.9 from Yuba City (transmitter on the Sutter Buttes) to Lincoln.

Growing rural area loses local signals... and if anyone thinks that KHHZ is going to "serve" Gridley (any more than KMJE actually did) is nuts.

Ted.

Whatever happened to this?

Results just filed an amendment to their application to adjust the coordinates of their new tower location. There must of been a small error.

I believe that Results Radio is trying to work something out with KDRT-LP that would be beneficial for both of them...Perhaps a new frequency for KDRT-LP since the 3rd adjacent rules have been relaxed for LPFM.

Ah, yes - good ol' KMJE...

I remember when it was Magic 101.5 in 1999-2001, and when KHYL 101.1 was
"Magic 101, Sacramento's Jammin' Oldies," we'd always get a coupla calls on the
"Saturday Night Jammin' Party" asking for songs that KMJE, not KHYL, played... :D

Isn't Sacramento over-radioed already? GRRRRRRRRRRR!
