KMLE Country ratings are down from being #1 Country Station in the valley to #2 Country station with the #10 Place finsh in the Arbitron radio ratings and KNIX 102.5 Country finsh in #4 place with good ratings.

If CBS Radio decides to drop KMLE Country for something else or JACK FM Format trying to boost rating at this station without a country station.

Hey, they're still beating KSWG and KRDE.

Why would they switch to a Jack? There's already a Peak.

I love how people just throw out random thoughts about who should flip formats and why. There are many more stations out there that have worse ratings and bill worse then KMLE and a format switch would be a good thing for those other stations. Being the #2 ranked station in your format isn't that bad of a thing when you're in a market the size of Phoenix.

Remember it isn't always about ratings anymore, it's about how much you are billing.

That is the most misleading headline I have ever read on a post here on radio-info.

I also happened to be being sarcastic.

I don't have access to detailed ratings but are they doing well 25 to 54?

As others have mentioned, KMLE might be the #2 country but their ratings are nowhere close to the level where you start flipping formats. Also, there already is a Variety Hits station in Phoenix. There is a 0% chance of KMLE getting Jacked.
