Having brokered time on KYPA for a number of years, Radio Korea was able to build an audience and advertisers (despite the fact that KYPA is a low watt ND). This purchase is a logical move for them. I think they'll be fine.

Besides, I believe KMPC owns the land their towers sit on and if Radio Korea gets that as well then they made a very good purchase.

Why? There are nearly no non-Hispanic whites over 65 in the coverage area of 1230. Standards have no appeal to Hispanics, Asians, Blacks, Persians and anyone under about 65 to 70 (and the exception makes the rule).
