KMPS doesn't win for first time since...

I may be wrong, but is this not the first time KMPS has not won a country battle in years, if not decades, in Seattle? (12+ shows a tie between The Wolf and KMPS. If true, this is landmark! Let the competition begin! Should be a fun battle.

Without quoting specifics, I can tell you for a fact that 25-54 the Wolf BEAT KMPS. The stations are TIED mornings and midday. Afternoons KMPS still wins.

I don't think this will be a battle much longer. Entercom is going to want to win more than ever with its cash cow KIRO going to Bonneville.

Before you bury KMPS, you might want to wait and see if all the 35-54 year old females come back to KMPS after the Christmas music December. KMPS got hit hard. My bet is they look just fine by Spring. WOLF holds 18-34 and KMPS takes 25-54 by Spring. KMPS, KPLZ, KWJZ take the brunt of the Christmas music tune-out each year in the December phase. Every winter and spring they always come back. (Of course not after everyone on this board as predicted they will flip formats)
Many media buyers have begun to throw out the fall book for that reason, or at least discount it for KRWM when calculating a four-book average. Course if you are making a buy for Christmas KRWM is the number one station to look to.

You've got to be kidding me!

I was flipping between Wolf and KMPS this morning and it's obvious why Wolf is on the way up and KMPS is on the way down.

Fitz was talking about identity theft and taking great calls from listeners.

Iky was talking about switching deodorant! What? He even invited listeners to recall back to "last week, when I was talking about my under arm itching..."

Please.

Listening to Fitz is like listening to a bunch of friendly people talk about topical stuff, while listening to Ichabod is like listening to someone's grandfather bitch about his colostomy bag.

The winds of change are blowin'... and country is no longer spelled with a "k".

Turns out country was never spelled with a K.

Please don't say Ick was using his tired old "deodorant" bit. I've heard that more times than I can count. I used to flip back and forth. Now I stay on the Wolf. Fitz this morning was talking about his MRI for back pain, but unlike Icky and the crew, he was relating it to the audience. It was compelling and interesting...two words that do NOT describe Ichabod and his lame waking crew.
