Happy to provide you with a good laugh! No doubt music is king in the world of PPM.
Guess I dunno who you are. I've only worked west coast radio. 35+ and counting.
Love the San Juan's and lived on San Juan Island many rabbits ago.


BTW,
The Randy and Stephen show should be just fine with a more music direction.
 
Sorry, Guru, now I understand a bit better. Jim was on KIXI-AM I believe when you were doing your consulting...so would likely have slipped under your radar. I hate to come off like a local yokel, but Jim's voice is awfully well known around these parts. I live in eastern King County WA and am a voicetracker on some stations of little importance. But I have a good time and a decent paying career with a multinational media company. I came to Jim's defense because you sounded like you were saying that because you didn't know who he was he couldn't have been an important local voice. As far as the other issue, just some minor fun- I figured a high end media guy like you might know about the proper use of an apostrophe. ;D
 
Have you seen the new websites for the CBS stations here? KMPS...it's hard to find the AM show on it....KZOK....BOB is everywhere. If Randy and Steven weren't place fillers, they'd have a prominent place on the site, wouldn't they?
 
Well, it appears I owe you an apology, Sandy G. My mistake for doubting you based on what I know, and obviously don't know! I was waaaaaay off and you were right. I stand corrected. Someone pass the crow!

Is the new show someone's friends from Phoenix or someone local? Is Stephen out or still employed.

I for one no longer listen to KMPS because of all this. I think Randy would have made a great host if they had not saddled him with Stephen. Stephen seems like a nice guy, but he knows nothing about country music, and all he contributed to the show was hollywood gossip and Taylor Swift talk (who can't carry a note to save her life). Yet they keep Stephen and fire Randy whos wife is expecting their second child. Plus they bring in a new morning show whos hosts are as dull as dirty dish water. And then I hear about Stubbs being gone, that just topped it off. Nice loyalty from KMPS, and nice way to cut your own throat.

I also won't listen to Fitz, except for a minute or two when Tony is on with the what are you kidding me stories. Even though Fitz is from Texas, he also knows nothing about country music, all his bits and jingles are hip hop/ boy band style, he is a whiner, and treats everyone else like he is god and they are idiots.

Thank God for MP3 players.
