Mystery solved! Smooth Jazz on 100.7 HD 2 gets dumped, Delta Blues HD channel 2 on 103.7 moves to 100.7 HD 2, making way for KMTT's new HD channel 2 service for Emerging Music. Sounds great!

Now, the last leg of this journey.......place KMTT's HD 2 Emerging Music on their 103.3 FM translator in downtown Seattle for an analog sample of this new digital service. But will they do it?

Now maybe Click 98.9 will put smooth jazz on their HD2 signal which they are not using. Like they should have done when they made the format switch from smooth jazz to new music.

They use the HD3 signal for KKNW, but no HD2.

It will never happen at Click 98.9. They had that opportunity to save face when they made the ignorant decision to change formats, and they didn't do it. It could have run on auto-pilot, and a good majority of smooth jazz listeners would probably have invested in HD radios to hear the programming. They promote HD all the time for KIXI on 106.9 HD2 on the AM station.
They had a deep library, and could have downloaded 1,200+ songs and kept the repetition to a minimum and smooth jazz junkies like myself would have been in nirvana. Sandusky Radio didn't care about their loyal fan base that supported that station for 19+ years, they basically stuck out their tongue and said we don't care about you. I no longer listen to or support any Sandusky stations. Turned off all Entercom stations too after the abrupt programming changes at 100.7 HD2. You say, not much else to listen to.

Clear Channel really should place its Smoothest Place on the Planet (Contemporary Jazz) format on one of its FMs in Seattle. They run it on many HD2 signals around the country, i.e. in Portland on KKCW 103.3, in Houston on KODA 99.1, in Salt Lake City on KODJ 94.1. I am quite surprised they haven't put it on KJR 95.7's HD2 signal. Currently they aren't running any HD2 programming on 95.7. Would be a great addition.
