KMVA MAKES ANOTHER FORMAT ADJUSTMENT

Appears 97.5 has changed formats again back to Hot AC. Green Day, Train, Jimmy Eat World, Snow Patrol, Natasha Bedingfield, and John Mayer now part of the playlist. Macklemore and other more Top 40 leaning titles are gone.

Thanks for listening.

Please, tell me more about how great your stations are doing. That's what we really want to read about.

Looks like there's a logo update as well, but it hasn't hit all the digital platforms. Old logo on website, new logo on Facebook...or is it the other way around?

#1 P 18-34 for KKFR

KEXX up 137% to a year ago W 18-49 ...

Those are pretty good accomplishments

The in-tab in week one was just plain silly. If you want to stand by that #1 as if it was real, do it again and shut me up. But that's not happening. So congrats...

You keep saying that about KEXX. Man, I just can't find this growth you keep talking about. I'm looking everywhere? I don't see anything consistent except teens. Please do tell.

But, back to your original post: thanks for noticing that I dropped Macklemore and regimented in some gold. It's nice to know you care.

Warmest regards,
JK

This will be the last post on this. It doesn't benefit anyone to get into a war of words so I shouldn't have said anything. KKFR has been trending up for some time actually. KEXX had 78% of KMVA's 18-49 women shares in April - a year ago it had 33%. I would consider that growth since KMVA is flat to that period.

But as you stated, when sample sizes are what they are things can change. I think you had weeks on top line that went between a mid 1 and nearly a 3 ...

Other way around.

Fair enough. Is it too much to ask for everything to be changed at once?

I mean, that's like re-launching the station and still having the old voice guy and sweepers playing occasionally.

I'm not arguing with you (apologies if my response came off that way)...I completely agree. In this day and age, it's critical to make the details of your online/digital presence (and its look) a top priority.

Apology accepted. Perhaps our intrepid KMVA staffer can explain why the re-branding of the station isn't going so smoothly?

I'm not trying to have a "war of words" with you "radioresearcher". I genuinely take it as a compliment that you pay attention. We should have lunch some time.

As far as this book... Ok. However you need to spin it for your sales staff. I'm not on here bragging about our CUME. Probably should be... But I digress. Don't rile up the inmates, man. A little knowledge and the Monday morning quarterbacks triple. Ain't nobody got time for that.

And whatever "rebranding" you other guys think is going on? The web guy changed the color and turned the logo off center on the site. So sorry it bothers you so much. You're more than welcome to come on by and fill out an application if you want to help.

Thanks for your concern!

It doesn't bother me so much, but it makes me wonder why you're so quick to defend your web guy.

Generally speaking, when a station makes even a minor change to the logo, it should be reflected across the entire brand right away. Everything with the old logo should be out the door the moment you change over. Right?

The logo on the website has been like that for well over a year my man. But you're more than welcome to continue the speculation.

And I just plain like my web guy. I guess that why I'm quick to defend him.

Hot AC is a Top 40 format, too, so all of the artists you named are "Top 40 leaning." I'm sure they'll be programming some Justin Timberlake, Josh Brogan, and Michael Buble, too.

Brogan? Oh Indie… I dunno if you're dyslexic or just an old man! haha :p

I hear ya 2son. Those titles are now on 92.7

Yes they are, and when I'm not listening to BPM in the morning on the way to work, I've got 92.7 on. I actually enjoy listening to Bruce Kelly.
