Someone needs to tell the PD at MEGA that Christmas is over
amisdead said:I believe the most possible format for 107.5, should a flip occur, is a CHR. CBS has recently had good success with new stations to that cume-tastic format with AMP in LA, NOW in NYC and Hot in Houston. It also wouldn't cause any headaches for the rest of their local cluster.
Sure, sure, there already is a second CHR, you say, in i93. But if CBS switched 107.5 to CHR, they could beat i93 within one quarter. Better signal. Better operator. More resources. And likely a much larger promotional push.
It's not hard to assume that even a mediocre CHR could beat what Mega is currently doing.

No, it's not. The season ends with Three Kings Day on January 6th. While the commercialization of December 25 has changed things a lot, on the night of the 5th is when traditionally kids set out straw for the camels and await gifts the next morning.
Here are some nits for you to pick, Mr. Gleason. El Dia de Tres Reyes is celebrated around here by the Hispanic/Latino, Spanish speaking community. For the non Hispanic/Latino, Spanish speaking groups of this area, YES, the Christmas season IS over. Le gusto tanto mucho!

And Mega is a Spanish language station, so Christmas is not over for their listeners.
Your point was?
P.S. "Día de Reyes." No "3" in it. Useful to know in a market that is approaching 30% Hispanic. And "le gusto tanto mucho" is jibberish.
[size=10pt]As first stated: "nits to pick". I knew you would bite and not be able to resist correcting the post! (mission accomplished)y Feliz Navidad! (did I get that one right???)
