KMVN imaging

KMVN has the most unimaginative imaging that I have ever seen.

The TV commercials with the stick figures... SNOOZE. "MOViN" is all about the MIX of music and the TV commercials should reflect that. So far, they just have one playing an old P!nk song and the other is an old Outkast song. KMVN is my #1 preset and my fave station here, but based on the commercials, I wouldnt give them the time of day.

Please forgive my lack of jargon here.....

The station promos that play on the station are just as bad. Its all talking..... blah blah blah. Emmis needs to quit being so cheap and buy the promo packages and commercials from Alan Burns.

Like I said, they are my favorite station here, but I wouldnt give them the time of day based solely on imaging.

That's because this station was thrown together with very little thought, and so far the ratings show it.

Spot on.

There was intensive hands on planning by Rick Cummings, Jimmy Steal, Guy Zapolean and Alan Burns.

Well they sure didn't spend enough time with the planning.

As we've seen before though, even the best in the biz don't get it right all the time... this move is going to be second guessed for a VERY long time within the industry.

KQMV in Seattle whoops KMVNs ass in every...single...way (except for Rick Dees)

Get it together PLEASE, KMVN

You cannot even begin to compare Seattle to Los Angeles. The competitive landscape and ethnic breakdown of the marketplaces are polar opposites.

KQMV has NO competition in the rhythmic adult arena, where KMVN has to compete with KBIG and KHHT for Hispanic females almost directly along with a host of other stations that it shares cume with.

Format by committee! Dees sounds great however!

Exactly. Though I am still trying to find some Hispanic females that I know who actually listen to KBIG...

<<<Haven't listened in a few weeks

You and everyone else who tried listening to the station. LOL!

Boomer was primarily on Drops and Promos, then they started using some people from Power, dont know there names, and now that they have listener comments, they use Boomer for like one word or two. But he's not their voice guy, although they sure seem to use his voice like he is.

Well there ya go :D

Don LaFontaine just did a phoner w/ Dees. If he could be the voice of all the imaging, it would be great. Some of the stuff he did for Dees on Movin' were some of the best stuff I've heard in years.

Movin's imaging is some of the most over-produced mediocre production I've heard.
