KMVP Drops the Ball Big Time!

You don't know that. Usually there is less station inventory during games per hour vs. owning the entire inventory during a local sports talk show during drive times.

Maybe you're right about the station keeping all their ad inventory for local hosts. But, are the local hosts on KMVP popular enough to warrant being on every day instead of play by play? There are bigger sports stations across the country that pre-empt popular local shows for play-by-play. Why is KMVP reluctant to do so themselves, especially if they know that the PBP will attract a much larger listening audience?

I will bet a cup of regular coffee at McDonald's if there is anybody physically at the station after 5 pm or on weekends they do not have the authority to "NOT" follow the program log or computer schedule. A polite email or call (during normal business hours) could have results in the future.

Really Good management would have "procedures" or "instructions" posted in the control room on what to do if things "go south" technically, scheduling, local disaster, or weather wise. Expecting part time or low level employees to "do the correct thing" without guidance could have really negative results.

Not a rumor, it was done.. i just forget which station

Another FM station NW of Austin would do one game on its main transmitter and then another one on its fill in booster transmitter... and they did get cited by the fcc for it.
Shine All Nine! 99.9 KSHN Liberty, TX called it “Spilt Channel Sports.” They did it for years until streaming came along. Then they started streaming 3 or 4 games every Friday. The station sold several years ago and is now religious.
