KMVP's Closing Must Be Looped

Remember those promos that ran 24/7 on 8~Sixty telling the two remaining listeners to tune to Sports Parking Lot 6~Twenty? They were looped and now it appears the closing of the sale of KMVP is looped as well. Part of the $3.8m sale agreement was relocating the leased xmttr site to another site at a cost of no more than 800k to TMISU prior to closing. The agreement also stated that the coverage from the new site had to be as good ;) or better than the old site. The FCC approved the sale earlier this year, but because a new site hadn't been located and approved, the closing was put on hold. Well a new site has been located a little less than two miles from the old one and an application was submitted to the FCC. Keep in mind TMISU still own KMVP today...they have an LMA with the prospective owners. The engineers came up with a better night pattern that covers more of Phoenix to the north and east, while the Buckeye Media Hut is the primary beneficiary of a western null  Nurse Jeff sifted through FCC docs and found a rejection of the application dated 6/11/08 based upon nightime interference to XEHX in Obregon, Sonora, Mexico. Five days later a 90 day extension to close was filed with the FCC. Seems to us the engineers will most likely re tweak the night pattern to look like the present one and eventually the sale will close. But 90 days? We think not!

On 12/15/08 TMISU filed the second 90 day extension on the sale of Sports Parking Lot 8~Sixty, citing tower relocation work. Where the Buyer finds the dough to close is a mystery to us, but as long as the LMA checks keep coming in does it really matter?
