KMXE 830 now KLAA!

The KLAA is probably for "Los Angeles Angels". Afterall, Arte Moreno owns KLAA and also owns the LA Angels. He also uses KLAA for the Spanish language Angels broadcast. I understand that the Spanish language broadcast for the games contract runs thru 2007. It will be interesting to see how KLAA will fare with a mixed up lineup of Spanish and English.

Is Roy Masters still going to keep his KRLA slot too, or is KLAA going to be his new flagship for Southern California?

Funny you ask, Bill. Channel surfing Wednesday night in my car going home from Angels Stadium after the Angels' 5-4 loss to Boston, I tuned in to 830 AM to see if they were going to do another simulcast of "Angel Talk". They had done a simulcast after Saturday night's game. Well, I heard the Roy Masters thing, so I immediately tuned my dial to 870 AM to find the exact same program but about 10 seconds ahead of the 830 AM broadcast.

I have predicted and continue to predict that the Angels' English language broadcasts will move to 830 by the 2008 season if not before. The question is will Arte Moreno be able to break his contract with KSPN for the 2007 season and if so, what if any, would be the penalty. I would guess he can "farm" the Spanish language broadcasts to another Spanish language station. I also predict that if the Angels leave 710 ESPN, the Dodgers will replace them there.

Gee, as long as we're predicting things that are plainly obvious, I predict that the sun will come up tomorrow, that I will have to pay taxes, and that Rick Dees will return soon.

Listen, [EDIT], what exactly is "plainly obvious" O Karnak The Magnificent??
Nothing's guaranteed in life except for death and taxes. [EDIT**] Thank You! :p

Just got a new handle is all. I predict and will continue to predict that your predictions have been reported in other sources or by other people. Anyway, the diatribe made me laugh.

Glad I could add a little laughter into your life. So what was your old handle and why the change? I predict you won't answer that question 8)
