KNAC 93.5 Earlimart

First of all are they on the air? If so what format? The KNAC call letter used to belong to a station in Los Angeles a Active Rock format at 105.5 Fm, Which if you go to Radio-locator it shows the website link to the former station in LA ,which is now a internet only station, and has no connection to 93.5 in Earlimart. This station is owned by the Earlimart Educational Foundation, and If I heard it right from another topic, the owner is Verne "Chris Edwards" White that runs the KYA Tribute oldies radio ,Boss Oldies, KYAF in Firebaugh.

KNAC, still off the air as far as I know is owned by a different non profit group than KYAF. Both groups were formed in the law offices of Bill Zawilla in Garden Grove. The only reason Verne White was able to sneak in the back door and run KYAF is the fact that it's board has on it the owner of the buildirng the station is housed in. Also note the "sale" of KYAF from the old to the new board was dismissed by the FCC, so Verne doesn't own it but the board member building owner lets him run it.

The internet station KNAC.com has nothing to do with KNAC in Earlimart, When KNAC 105.5 in Long Beach changed format to a Spanish Language Format they wanted to keep the Active Rock Format on the internet and they changed the call letter for 105.5. Then The Earlimart Educational Foundation aquired those call letters for 93.5

Ken, can you say if 95.3 (or 94.7) is still heard on weekends in you neck-0-the-woods? I moved from where I used to hear it - I'm now just a lil too far away, south of 180 and KC.

No , I can't here KYAF on 95.3 anymore , but did hear last weekend Boss Radio KYA on 94.7 ,but not like it used to come in it must have been from Firebaugh, not the repeater. KBHH 95.3 in Kerman is still dark for now, so is KNAC 93.5 from Earlimart.

Well, I didn't mean KYAF from Firebaugh- that signal has never reached to the east of 99. I meant the "repeater" of KYAF that used to jump between 94.7 and 95.3 on Saturday nights only. The one we determined was originating from Clovis.
I'd be VERY surprised if you're picking up the Firebaugh signal. Maybe, what you heard last weekend on 94.7 was the clovis "repeater" at very reduced, close to Part 15, power level.

It's possible it was a reduced signal from Willow and Sierra where we determined the signal last spring, but last Saturday I was experencing Tropo conditions picking up KIOO 99.7 with 100 percent strenght and picking up KLOS 95.5 from LA and KFNO 98.5 with a decent signal as well as KNAH 106.3 and 92.5 the Bear from Merced.
