Knbc news anchors

Ted Chen was an anchor for the Today In LA Weekend newscast a few years ago. I thought he was doing a good job anchoring the newscast and should have been promoted to being the weekend evening newscast or the weekday newscast anchor. Instead, he and Beverly White have been reassigned to being general assignment reporters and the station has promoted other reporters to be anchors.

I am fine with the station promoting younger reporters to being anchors, but most of the reporters that have been promoted have been Hispanic. On almost all of the stations newscast, I have not seen any anchor who is of East Asian decent.

The station should have a more diverse news anchor team than what it has now. They might reconsider Ted Chen and Beverly White being anchors again, or promote other reporters such as Hetty Chang or Kim Tobin. I am not saying that Johnathan Gonzales, Adrian Arambulo, and Mekahlo Medina should not be anchors, but that KNBC should consider having a more diverse anchor team.
