KNEW drops Savage

In Cleveland, Savage was dropped from the Salem news/talk station after he made controversial comments about some special-needs children. The GM or PD called him "an idiot". They replaced him with Mark Levin. For my "money", Savage is far better then the Munchkin sounding Levin. Fortunately, there are two big out-of-town stations that air him, one live, the other 3-hours later pre-recorded.

It was Salem local GM Mark Jaycox, to be specific - quoting him in the Cleveland Plain Dealer:

"This guy's a knucklehead, and I want to get rid of him," Jaycox said.

As for Savage's landing in the Bay Area again - on KSFO at a major discount, or basically, nowhere at all. The fallback option of KTRB/860 is now gone since the station is doing sports, for one.

And KSFO, if they have any interest in bringing him back, will NOT let him set foot in the building. Take that to the bank...
 
Well we need to see if Jacqui Smith the one that wanted to go after Savage wants her own talk show. Hey we know Savage for his public Feuds with DNC and RNC Politicians, Illegal Aliens, Muslim activists, Left Wing Activists, Other Right wing Talk hosts. I think Savage was Fired by KNEW because of pending lawsuits against the station by Muslim Activists and UK officials set it off and a possible feud between Michael Erickson (PM) and him.

No big loss. Loyal listeners can still tune into the Savage Nation on 650 in Sacramento, or overnights on the skywave on KOB. Dr. Savage is a narcissistic prick who needs to learn to play by the rules of every other talk show host: respect for the Diversity of the American people: religions, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc. etc.
 
If you missed the "Savage Nation", I found a podcast of Michael Savage and the "Savage Nation". It has some old segments on it. WKIP in Poughkeepsie and WOR in New York City used to carried that show, but you listen to old episodes from that show. The last podcast for the "Savage Nation" was from 5/22/09 with 3 segments each. That was four months before he pulled the plug from the airwaves. I'm a huge Savage fan, but I give you a link to listen to past episodes of the "Savage Nation".

Not sure what that's all about, but since this thread was last active (10/09), KTRB/860 indeed picked up Savage...even with the sports format.
