KNIT 1480 AM

What do ya'll think about KNIT 1480's signal? Does it cover most of the DFW metroplex? I'm out of town and haven't had a chance to listen to it much. Thanks.

It's a good signal. That's the old KBOX. Back in the day, that was one of the big stations in the DFW area. (like 30+ years ago)
It still sounds pretty strong all over. Not as good as one of the lower frequency AM stations, but still pretty good.

But what about at night? The old White Rock Lake site had difficulty sending a signal into Arlington...forget about Foat Wuth!

I think they have six towers at night and the signal looks like a flower going out in many directions, not a lot of consistency with the nighttime pattern. But the daytime looks pretty good. Does FW get the signal well during the day?

Those are really the call letters??? That's the same calls as a top-40 station on 1280 in Abilene in the 60's!

Salems new format - only marginally more interesting than Spanish. 1500 nearby is a pretty good standards station in Sherman.
