KNOM: Making It the Hard Way

Interesting story.

When we visited Gates of The Arctic Nat Park this past year, KNOM was on my list, but I just didn't have the will to stay up for twilight DX.

From their "highlights" who was this?
2006 — A radio hobbyist in Oregon is the first person in KNOM’s 35-year history to hear the station from the Lower 48.

Probably Patrick Martin in Seaside. He has a 1500 foot Eastern beverage and an EWE for the WNW direction. He's logged about any Alaskan so it probably was him. He also heard KBRW 680 in Barrow, AK from Oregon!

^ I second that it was likely Patrick Martin. He once caught KYAK 650 Anchorage (now KENI) in the daytime.
