They are going to 43,000 Watts From 15 kW

Right, Liberty, with an upgrade from a Class C1 to a C0. I finally got around to looking at this one again, and realized that it was taking a pretty long time to get things moving on it.

There are still two things remaining to be done before the upgrade can happen, both involving stations on 93.5. KLXK Breckenridge has to reduce power (a simple matter, downgrading from Class C2 to C3) and KIKT Greenville must complete their move east to Cooper (upgrading from a low-powered Class A to a C3). For whatever reason KIKT hasn't done that yet and had to file a new application to buy more time. The KNOR upgrade will be "in place," simply increasing power at their present site. But program tests there with the new facilities, the final step in the upgrade, can't begin until program tests begin at KIKT's new location.

Offhand I don't think this signals any upcoming change in format. The upgrade isn't all that dramatic, kind of similar to what KFZO 99.1 has now, for example, not quite on par with some of the other northwestern rim-shots. But what do I know, we're talking about Liberman.

Even with the 43,000 watts, considering the transmitter being way up in Era in Cooke County, I am not sure how listenable a signal it will be.
