WASO lost their license a few years ago as the tower had to be taken down and the then current owners didn't put a signal back on the air within the one year grace period. Meaning for the FCC, WASO is just another of a long gone radio stations
KNOU according to FCC filings was broadcasting in Empire off a small tower in the community but was pulled off the air in June 2010. A STA is the only thing apparently keeping the station on the air as it was supposed to go on air in Empire from the Empire Inn according to the FCC attachment
If Power or whom ever owns KNOU would let it go for under 1 million I have some buddies who would prob try to buy it. They already have bought 3 'distressed' stations in Texas and turned them profitable, but would love to break into a larger market in their home state. What you'd be buying is essentially a liscense. They have next to zero equipment and cash flow.
