Knoxville

With all this talk about Knoxville radio history, I just had to dig out a tape I recorded of brief snippets of stations from all around the country back in June 1991.

I've scoped out the Knoxville segment (and included one from Chattanooga at the end.) It's all rather short, but if ya wanna take a quick trip back to Thursday, June 20, 1991... here ya go:

RMarino,

I downloaded the file and I will listen to it later. I will let you know what I thought about the file. I was 6 (going on 7) at the time.

Thanks for the file and again, I will listen to it later as I have saved it onto my computer.

RMarino,

Thanks for uploading this. I am quite impressed. I liked the WWZZ ID at the end. It sure was a great station. Also ditto to the I-100 WOKI sweepers heard in 1991. Mitch Craig was a great voice.

This sure was great and I thank you again for the Knoxville composite.

Thanks for the kind words. Little did I know when I recorded that in 1991 that I'd actually be living in the Knoxville area 15 years later!

Rich, you live in the Knoxville area? I live in LaFollette which is close to Knoxville.
