Tell me what songs and I can give you an answer. Generally speaking, Energy 98 is not a Phoenix property and I don't have to program for that community. Internet listeners are a little more advanced with their dance music than KNRJ so I more options. Justin and I decide on the adds based on what works for Energy 98 at the time. We don't have to stick with only domestic releases, but they are the bulk of the playlist. I'll wait for the right mix of a song too.

You're funny....I don't need an answer. Never implied you should program for Phx either. If you're listeners are so advanced, then why add something a month later? I'm not gonna mention titles, but you know which ones KNRJ broke first. And we're not playing imports either. You just didn't agree at first but now you're on the bandwagon....

In order to present a valid argument, you need to give specifics. And you couldn't have said it better...

...KNRJ broke... ;)

I'll bet Russ played what ever songs your talking about before either of us anyway.

Russ sure is quick on New music isnt he.. He is so quick on new music, that he adds Songs Before they are ever Written, or Recorded....LOL...Not really but he is quick on adds, and he can edit down Quality Club Mixes, and always plays the best mix. Anyway, Mr. Oaks, your station sounds great too, as always, However I cant say the same for KNRJ, since they cant manage to even hold a solid stream, since you left.

Bah, NRG AZ just carried on what Mike Oaks was doing, they just sped up the process. Adding dance remixes of hiphop, pop music remixed.

I'm not really happy with the state of dance today Perry, but I'd take 98 over 92.7 anytime. Granted, you do have a nice imaging package.

Nice to someone other people don't get along. I thought it was just me. LOL

We're not interested in a law suit from Arbitron. Keep their data off the site.<P ID="signature">______________

IF KNRJ "broke", it broke on your clock too Mikeo, not because you left Energy Arizona. I don't know how many times I have to say it, people know that the ratings at Energy Arizona were at their highest before you got there; that is a shame, because I really enjoyed the music you played as well, and I still listen to both Energy 98 AND Energy Arizona. Why is it so hard for the egos in higher places to get along for the sake of dance music lovers all over? Find a solution to fix the problems guys, not attribute to them. (Every time you guys point fingers at each other, there are still 3 pointing back at you - as corny as that sounds).

I'm not pointing...I'm calling out. I'm tired of people saying stuff and not backing it up.

Example:

I think KNRJ didn't show up in the book because they're playing too many unfamiliar dance songs for the current listener base. So there is more listener tune out.

or

I think KNRJ didn't show up in the book because the diary placements were not placed in areas where listenership is high. Arbitron may have overweighed a specific demo causing them to just slip below the radar.

Telling people "WHY" you "THINK" something "IS" is a better way to state your case. It also prompts intelligent debate instead of the usual blah blah posted here.

If someone does/doesn't like a song/station/person - give a thought out reason, not 'that station sucks'. It also lets people know where you're coming from.

Did I 'broke' KNRJ? Billing was up 300%, target demo's were higher after I got there. TSL was ws the highest they've seen in a couple of years. Yes cume was down, but that's because we were serving our niche, just like Chris Shebel told me was important for the success of the station. The #'s were not good enough for me and the GM, and that's why I started making changes to get the cume up. But it's radio, and you don't always get the time to get the job done.

I dealt with a lot of issues that I will not discuss on a public forum and I'm glad it's not my headache anymore. :)

I get a kick out of reading everyone's "spin" as to why KNRJ is where it is.

Re: Weak Signals.

Wow, interesting Sambuca. I've seen data from Arbitron on this site, and in this forum. They weren't removed. Or is it because just perhaps I'm the soul challenging your faith in dance music.

I have personally removed every share figure I have seen, and I try to make it a point to read every post.

If you notice postings I have missed in the future, please let me know, it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Weak Signals.

Sam,

I've spent 12 or more years being on the net and/or working in the industry. For the record, radio isn't what pays the bills, binary code is.

I am quite aware of your terms of service, and aware of internet law. I am also very cognizant of the other infractions I see on this forum. I say nothing about it.

Regardless, I suspect your quick response to my post stating Arb numbers (which THEY make public then attempt to "copyright" such) was partially about your reaction to my strong opinions. And that's fine Sambuca...it is your forum, but please man, don't try to throw it all off as nothing more than me posting so called copyright numbers.

BTW, did you actually check to see if those numbers came from Arbitron or from BBM?

It's not my forum...and I'm unaware of any of your opinions. You broke the rules, you got called on it. Get over yourself.

If you wish to continue talking about this, you know my email. It has no place on this board.<P ID="signature">______________
