KNTE flips

96.9 is now playing religous music and is saying "hope is coming soon" not sure when they fliped but coming into lavaca county now i found they fliped

I'm hearing it too on 96.9. One announcement says "It's a station where you'll know you're loved, coming May 4th."

Another announcement of "Voice of Hope, coming soon."

Not a simulcast of KSBJ.

Still hearing the "Baila" format on 880 and 1230...and 101.7, including announcements of the new frequency...looks like the 107.9 simulcast has been broken.

So what will wind up on 101.7 once the sale of 880 and the flip of 1230 are complete?

Looks like they flipped the call letters also, KNTE is now KXGJ and KXGJ is now KNTE.

the audio seems a bit choppy and distorted on 96.9?

I wonder if the can sell a few of them for a profit. I know of a Christian radio group that would be interested. And what about KZBJ 89.5 Bay City?

There are always religious groups on the prowl for acquisitions. Aleluya, EMF, Radio Assist, Paulino Bernal, CSN etc. All have numerous outlets throughout Texas, and all probably want more.

KZBJ's coverage area pretty much duplicates 96.9, which is why many of us are speculating about NGEN appearing there, assuming 96.9 becomes a KSBJ simulcast.

KNTE is only broadcasting on one side.

Listened to 96.9 Saturday evening 4/21 while out and about; still having audio issues. Numerous dropouts and frequent digital stuttering. Not able to tell if it's a STL problem or just hiccups on whatever audio source they're using.

driving back home today they still are having that issue.

the audio seems better but still kind of sounds flat to me....
