Interestingly, two of KNTV's on-air people have bolted for public agency spokesperson roles - Linton Johnson is now media spokesperson for BART, and I saw Susan Siravo in the same role for a South Bay utility agency can't remember which one. Somewhat ironically, perhaps - I saw her presentation on KNTV. You can't blame them - those media spokesperson jobs pay as well as TV reporting, with better job security and regular hours. Except in emergencies involving their agencies, they can go home at 5:00 PM.

Susan works for the San Jose Water District Agency. She left KNTV last April 2007 after her contract was not renewed. Now KNTV though it's good programming, at least there still Lisa and Jessica. Lisa's been around since Doug Moore's final days at KNTV in 1999. But KNTV will always be the best news station, no matter what people say.

Well, it could mean something...or it could be that Young is so hard up for cash that they're willing to share facilities, and want to get some rent money. Maybe Young is charging less than KNTV's landlord near Broadway, and the agreement would likely include use of KRON's technical facilities, parking, etc.
Even if KNTV is cutting staff, it makes sense for them to have facilities in San Francisco - not even a fraction of the news happens in San Jose.
