Denver KNUS 710 Dead Carrier Tonight

KNUS 710 has been running an open carrier for awhile because of an outage with their fiber internet fed studio to transmitter link.

Back in the day wasn't there supposed to be a "fail safe" for a station that lost it's STL to shut it down? You are supposed to be "in control" to run the station legally. The station ID is still mandatory.

IMHO bad engineering. If nothing else you paid for electricity to broadcast a dead carrier. In this case not following the rules cost you money even if the FCC doesn't get in involved.
