KNUZ-KQUE Reunion

If you ever worked at either you are welcome. April 23rd, noon at Santos The Taste of Mexico, Westheimer and Briarpark. Fajita buffet and 3 buck rita's. You are under no obligation to eat or drink but if you are coming please let me know so we can get a head count. For those on Facebook there's also a "I once worked at KNUZ-KQUE page where you can get an idea of who is coming and who isn't. We had a great turnout last year everyone from Paul Berlin, Dave Ward and Chuck Dunaway to Harold Gunn, Mike Shilo, Mike Marshall and more. Hope those that missed it last year can make it. Come and plan to stay awhile.

If they drink toasts to all the greats that have come out of that place; it's going to be pretty wild on Westheimer that afternoon. ;)

Margaritas are three bucks, I expect many a toast to many a jock that passed through those doors, for some we should probably roll some joints.
I know I'll be toasting PW, Mike Scott, Jim Livingston, Webb Hunt....you know you are right if we toast them all, we will all be toasted. Who wants to be designated driver? Bring a bus.

Walter, I will try to make it down. Good excuse for coming to Houston for a weekend. Of course, a better excuse would be to work there. I gather from what you wrote that we lost Jim Livingston. He also sold for us at 97Talk and I hadn't heard anything.

Yes Rog we lost Jim almost a year ago now. Heart attack, they say he died before he hit the floor. Really quite a shock to us all as I had seen him that morning. Had no idea that would be the last time I would see him on this earth.
I guess that's why I value these reunions so much. We're only going to get some many chances.

I'll try to be there again. Last year was great fun. Only thing that could sidetrack me would be late things to take care of for the UH spring football game broadcast the next day.

Had a great time at the reunion and met old friends with whom I have worked with in the past. Dave Ward, Paul Berlin, Michael Shiloh and many others were there. Gary Harmon was there too. It was the 1st time meeting him.I had some wonderful conversations with Charlie Seay, Walt Hammock, Debbie Brandt and Karen Johnson. If you didn't make it this year, try and make it next year. Some of us are dropping off like flies. ;D

I think I only heard only one complaint and you know who that was from. Everyone else seemed have a marvelous time. I really had a great time, just not nearly enough time to visit with everyone I wanted too. But seeing so many of the great friends from thru the years was just great. Dave Ward stopped me on his way out and said some to the effect of "These things are great I don't ever want to miss one." Just glad we could pull it off one more year.

I'd love to se some of the old faces I once worked with. By now they HAVE to be OLD faces. The good part is they will still look younger than me.
