Central Coast KOCP Legal ID

You gotta wonder... How do you get the legal I.D. wrong? Most of the time, it's prerecorded and scheduled in the computer between two songs. The DJ doesn't have to do it.

The why is easy to figure out: Camarillo was the COL when KOCP was on 95.9.

The how that ID is still being used eight years after changing frequencies is the unknown.

I think they have the old ID in rotation with the current. It old ID was for when they were on 95.9. They swapped facilities in 2016.

ive had an errant christmas song play once per hour in the overnight hours in february or march when.. after christmas i switch music back to normal, i miss the one line of code in the music scheduler and forget to switch it back to regular music, and because im not awake at 2am but a listener is and tells me and i forget to change it out once notified!

but i certainly dont get my legal id wrong. when we put 2 fm repeaters on, we hadnt yet gotten call letters, but got permission to go on when a license to cover was filed because that LTC was filed 4 months before the renewal cycle hit and we wouldve had to renew it again in 4 months.. so we got call letters assigned then but in the interim.... i created a special legal id that identified those facilities by their facility id numbers.
