:cool: Have received information they just went on the air, and are knocking heads with KLJJ-LP, they have jumped through a lot of hoops to make it happen, and the FCC has bent over backwards to help them allowing them to correct a lot of problems with their initial application. and over ruling a formal protest which could have caused the application for CP to have been dismissed.
 
I'm hearing a strong open carrier on 101.5 at my Cy-Fair location, but no programming. Looks like KOER is in testing mode. Not there yesterday afternoon, as I was still hearing a weak KLJJ.

According to its website, KOER completed its fundraising drive two weeks ago, so it appears they are moving quickly to get the station on the air. Programming already exists as a webstream, so all they have to do is feed that to the transmitter.
 
Now hearing Urban Gospel music on 101.5, so it appears KOER is on the air. Good signal at my Cy-Fair location.

They sure didn't waste any time getting on the air after completing their fundraising drive. The website had stated that the station wanted to launch debt-free.

Haven't heard any announcements in about 20 minutes of listening, so they might still be in testing mode.
 
:cool:In Tomball I am hearing Black Rap music, on 101.5 didn't catch call letters may be KOER testing if so they are hard up for programming.
 
The KOER website states that the station is "on the air and testing." I've heard TOH ID's and some underwriting announcements, along with Urban Gospel.
 
101.5 is going to get a new sound this week (maybe) with the signing on of K242BG Galveston....the translator for KGBC-AM 1540. The AM side has already started promoting it's arrival....I will be on the Island tomorrow and will be listening.....
 
:cool:Dave I was listening to day in Tomball where KOER and KLJJ take turns covering the other one up. They were running some kind of screeching preaching. sounded like two cats fighting.
