I'm new, I've been loving KOGO in HD, but recently (last week or so) all I've been receiving is the analog station. Anyone getting KOGO in HD? Same goes for radio sofie (KSCF-HD1), but it's always been super iffy.
If HD on KOGO never comes back, the AM band will be better. Chip Franklin in analog sounds the same as in hybrid digital. HD Radio on AM is a frackin' waste.
The HD required bandwidth for analog takes it's toll- listen to the music on Coast to Coast. It's quality is similar to a worn out cassette tape on a
player with a worn down playback head. I'm sure KOGO is working on the problem after 2 or 3 callers flooded the phones...

Good riddance, IMO, to KOGO's HD. With the current IBOC/HD system in use in the USA, I seriously doubt that this bird, if it had a radio, would have been able to clearly hear a noise/splatter/blocking/desense-free signal from 590 KTIE or 610 KAVL in the middle of the day from where it was sitting. With a type of hybrid digital same-channel system I would like to see implemented (I don't know of a specific one yet), that WOULD be routine, with full pre-NRSC audio even on the analog first-adjacent DX. For safety reasons, though, I can understand warning listeners by beginning to overload the radio's front end & filters once you're at a location where the field of the local is about 3 to 6 dB higher than the occupational MPE in FCC 1.1310.
