KOGO TO FM

Clear Channel "historically" doesn't go backwards with formats....especially one that did not do well. I don't expect a return of KUSS, but I would suspect sports to be moving from 1360 to 95.7 that would be a good move. But if they do go backwards...PLEASE BRING BACK KPOP!!

No surprise that KOGO is stagnant, at best, no matter how many bands it's on. They brought in a Marylander to do morning, got rid of the afternoon host who actually knows San Diego and installed a self-avowed atheist in the midday show on what is supposed to be a "conservative" station (not that they need someone to preach religion but it's going to turn off some listeners, especially when it's a show with no compelling reason to listen).

So KOGO is now #16 overall in the market - I imagine they must make some good money selling in their target demos, but how much did they give to KFMB-FM with what now seem like the ill-advised changes of a year ago?

I also imagine that whomever orchestrated all that still has a secure job, but there must be some poor soul in a thankless CC admin job who will get canned this Christmas season because of the financial losses of this failed strategy.

The www.Holiday957.com website's been fleshed out since its debut during Thanksgiving week.

In addition to the copy/paste only Listen Live link above, there's a page on iHeart for
"KUSS 95.7 San Diego's Holiday Favorites" : http://www.iheart.com/live/261/?autoplay=true

Masthead logo in holiday motif (sure to become a collector's item once the next format begins ;) ;D):

Looks like the KUSS calls could be resuscitated; as of this post they're available: http://licensing.fcc.gov/prod/callsign/main.html (click Query button)
