No surprise that KOGO is stagnant, at best, no matter how many bands it's on. They brought in a Marylander to do morning, got rid of the afternoon host who actually knows San Diego and installed a self-avowed atheist in the midday show on what is supposed to be a "conservative" station (not that they need someone to preach religion but it's going to turn off some listeners, especially when it's a show with no compelling reason to listen).
So KOGO is now #16 overall in the market - I imagine they must make some good money selling in their target demos, but how much did they give to KFMB-FM with what now seem like the ill-advised changes of a year ago?
I also imagine that whomever orchestrated all that still has a secure job, but there must be some poor soul in a thankless CC admin job who will get canned this Christmas season because of the financial losses of this failed strategy.
