probably true lol ;D. I got the tuner in Dallas. Its a JVC KD-HDR1. With this stereo, you don't have to go out and buy one of those extra tuners and deal with all the wires. The tuner is just built in. Cost me $150 with the rebate, so I thought why not? Basically you just plug it in and it works! Pretty easy and I think its the only car stereo out there that has a built in tuner as of now. All the other stereos you have to buy the tuner separately, which costs around $300 usually I think. On top of all that, you have to deal with all these extra wires, so this stereo isn't bad at all.
If the HD radio demand ever goes up in Lubbock, one of the more popular stations such as Z102, The Beat, or Hot 97-3 will need to step it up. Don't see that happening anytime soon. Until then, I will continue to enjoy the regular analog stations...and enjoy the extra commercial free stations when I make a trip to Dallas or something.
