KOKE-FM returning to Austin

The idea I believe is just to get it on the air right now. This deal came through pretty quickly and there are many issues to work out. They are streaming so many folks are tuning in that way and I'm sure that the signal issues will be worked out in time. The good side of this is that no big corporation is pulling the strings so they can take time to find and develop their audience. IMHO, this is the real future of terestrial radio.
 
If KISS's HD signal was not on, I could pick them up a lot better than I can now.
 
They sound good. Listening now at work. I wonder if I can get it on my internet radio stand alone at home.

TuneIn now lists them, but Reciva does not. I just emailed KOKE about getting on the Reciva list.
 
KOKE is not listed on my internet radio at home :(.
 
Does anyone have a direct MP3 / AAC stream for KOKE-FM or whatever? I'll contact them and ask, but you know how some people are about getting back to emails, LOL.
 
A shame they are a rim shot and KISS HD signal is over riding it.
 
When did Bob Cole come back on the air for mornings? I guess I missed that somewhere. Good to hear him back and he can actually talk now!

A new, locally owned radio station with iconic call letters — KOKE-FM — is set to sign on Sunday, airing primarily Austin- and Texas-centric country music and featuring a roster of personalities who are well known to Central Texas listeners, including former 98.1 KVET-FM morning host Bob Cole and meteorologist Troy Kimmel.

Does KOKE-FM also own KOKE-am? If so they could multi cast to AM 1600 also, they would have better coverage for Austin and central Texas, at least in the daytime. It's to bad that 104.3 and 99.3 couldn't swap frequencies.
 
KOKE AM 1600 is owned by the Garcia family which also owns KELG 1440 and KTXZ 1560. They have allowed the calls to be used by the new KOKE FM. FYI-- KEYE TV has a similar arrangement to use the calls still is use by longtime radio broadcaster KEYE-AM/FM in Perryton, Texas.

To bad, that may would help them out. I don't think the translator will really help, especially people who live out of the Austin area.
