KOKZ

I read on 100000watts.com that KOKZ dropped its oldies format. OK, in what sense is that true? Is what it's spinning now an adult hits format? I only had a few minutes to tune in the other day, and didn't get the picture.

Sounds to me like Classic Hits. Gone are the 50's and 60's and they're doing 70's and 80's.

There is a new station, KRQN, that does oldies and it targets Cedar Rapids. It can't be picked up well in the Waterloo area.

Me?I still miss the days when KOKZ was "OK 105.7" and played Top 40/CHR music!!That station, and KLYV (K-Live 105) in Dubuque were 2 pretty good stations.DeanSB

The KOKZ call letters, to me, would reinforce transmitter envy theory. Long live independently owned 10,000 watt stations in the middle of fields.
