KOLA Christmas Music

And so it begins. But it's doubtful that it will have any impact on the LA market or KOST who will no doubt go Christmas sometime soon.
 
You should listen a little more carefully in between the songs. Every day this week from 6-7pm they are playing Christmas songs for people to vote on for next week's Holiday Top 40 on Thanksgiving Day. They have not gone all Christmas. Just a promotion.
 
I'm glad to hear they aren't playing it 24/7 yet. I saw the local Starbucks all decked out last week, and it was really nauseating.

But let's talk about the real issue here. K-Earth. Please, Jhani Kaye, for THE LOVE OF GOD, do not pull out your KOST records this year for the holiday season. Last year you really played a bunch of easy listening crap: Mannheim Steamroller, Carpenters, Barry Manilow. All groups K-Earth would never normally play. Don't alienate your audience again! K-Earth Xmas means Beach Boys, Elvis, and all the good old stuff. Ya, your ratings were good, but they're good all the time.

(PS - I may, just may have one of those little.....uh......personal people meters on meself. Yup. So turn off the crappy music and I'll be tuned to 101.1 for 4 solid weeks! Ya, it's unethical to say so, but who cares. No more crappy Xmas music on K-Earth!)
