Birach is based in suburban Detroit. It owns stations in Michigan and in the Chicago, St. Louis, Pittsburgh and Washington DC markets, most of which air ethnic programming.

Well there goes another local station......I remember the glory days of KOLE in the 70s.....pity it has gone the way it has over the decades...

I had heard they were trying to sell KOLE, and with the move of KRCM  to nowhere in particular, we are stuck with the decaying Al Caldwell and KLVI's team of elderly hosts for AM "talk". Actually, it should be Premier Radio's stable (Rush, Dr. Whora, Sean Vanity) that takes most of the daytime airtime anyway.

How else can we screw up radio in the triangle? Perhaps with some sloppy audio processing. Et tu, Clear Channel?

They've already done that Stan....KLVI (which clips BAD) and 92.5 (though 92.5 has sounded better recently)...
I wish I had enough financial backing to get a station in the BPT area...and do something decent for it..If KJAS in Jasper can do it, I think any station can...(the only AMs left in the triangle is 990 and 1150....Radio Maria would not sell 1250 unless they could get an FM freq....) and forget 1600....Hey Cumulus has 1450 and it sounds worse than 1510...maybe they would sell it ;)
