KOMO MORNINGS

He's the ONLY real successor......

...oh I guess I should have worded this differently so this thread may actually get followed.

Congrat's, Gregg, on your new morning gig on KOMO-AM/FM. KOMO-AM/FM, by the way, has been DX'd/tropo-skipped in parts of Yelm, Elbe, Chilliwack, and greater Moses Lake.

Good.....now DISCUSS.

So far I haven't been able to find anything confirming this. I'm not trying to question anyone's veracity, just wanting to know more.
It would be great to hear Greg in this market again.

KOMO-FM has been heard in Yakima...

In the words of Madeline Kahn ... "it's TWUE it's TWUE".

(I got it from both Fisher AND gregg...so I believe it!)

Tom did a very good job. Hope he stays on doing sports. Greg is the only newscaster that could possibly replace Bill in this market and keep the ratings close to level for KOMO. Yeend was Seattle morning's Dave Niehaus.

Good luck Greg!!

Greg will clearly do the job. Filling Bill Yeends slot is a killer commitment but this is the only guy in the NW market that could pull it off,, I listened to him since his first days at channel 95 and I knew then that he would do nothing but add a sorely needed level of professionalism and personality to ANY station in the market with a decided news and information slant..A home run for KOMO. Always my favorite rock and roll newsman..Even more than Bill Radke.

Gregg, welcome back. You belong in Seattle. Portland is a good medium market, but you belong in a major.

I believe I saw June 11 as his start date. KOMO is already sounding more energized under Duckworth.

Yup, Gregg's back on June 11. And now that Mr. Duckworth has mornings sorted out, he can get to work on rebuilding the afternoon mess. I'm hearing Herb wants to go back to TV, and as for his partner...let's just say KIRO knew what they were doing when they let her go.

Ouch!!
I would like to get the old biz guy back so I could follow the stock market and the news that affects it and my money in a timely fashion. Not a day later.

Having Gregg back is great and sounds like KOMO is going through a much needed energy boost. Will start listening more, be interesting in how this changes the news/talk scene.
