KOMO-TV Digital....Movin' on up

That article is dated before I saw the tower on Saturday, still with no top mast, and shorter than it used to be. It doesn't even seem to have a warning beacon, unless it's so small I can't see it in the daytime. I suspect they will move the digital aerial up there once they get permission. I walking back there this weekend to see if they have the mast sitting out by the base of the tower.

Today I saw some changes on top of the KOMO-TV tower. I drove up for a closer look and saw a yellow temporary structure to add support between the top of the tower and the mast, and a horizontal beam to allow KOMO-DT to keep broadcasting and not fry the workers on top. The mast itself is now gone, and on the street on a flat bed I got a close up look at tower materials. No actual work was being done on a Sunday, but if you're in town for the next few days this is your chance to see some tower work.
