KOMO-TV ends 11pm 'Dragnet' episode on Xmas Eve(s)

..for those who were wondering...

New management a few years ago at KOMO discontinued this once traditional Christmas Eve airing,
only having five minutes of news 'til 11:05pm when thenafter they would air the 25-minute
Dragnet episode 'The Big Little Jesus' from 1953 - being in very poor FILM quality

Thanks for the info on that.

I haven't seen that episode in years, as I'm usually not up that late on Christmas Eve. This year, however, I did a search on TV Guide online, to see if KOMO was still airing it, and had no success.

An interesting note: They had the original episode from the '50''s, with Joe Friday's partner having the character name "Frank" if I recall, and the one I was more familiar with, from the '60's, with Harry Morgan as Joe's partner Ofc Bill Gannon.

From what I remember of each version, it seemed like they followed the script exactly to the letter.
